Reading can be confusing. I'm not a reader so I'll get distracted while reading and then get confuse. When I want to "make sense" of something I just read, I usually would read it over and over. Sometimes I'll actually keep reading the part I'm confuse on over and keep reading it over. If I'm that confuse after reading it so many times, I'll go a page or so back and read on so I'll better understand it. If neither of that works then the book doesn't make any sense!

What I usually do when I want to make sense of something and I had to read, I would read a National Geographic book. If I don't know about something like what an animal does I can read and I will understand. When you read your vocabulary increases and you can understand things more better. You learn when you read. Even if you think you're not learning, you are. Reading is good because it gives you knowledge.

When reading everyone has their own way of understanding(metacognition). So when i am reading and I don't understand t the first time i might just just read it over maybe once or twice. The second time i would take key words from the text that i understand. To be honest reading is not really my thing, but when a book come along that i enjoy its a book that is not aloud in school.I do tend to like books that have to do with history like Rosa Parks , but that just does not always grab my attention.

People have different methods to understand something after they seen, heard, and read something. For example, when reading a book I re-read the part I didn't understand. I use this method because it helps me a lot of times when reading books. I also do this method because it is a good way of understanding things. Plus I learned this method from other individuals that I know that helped them. These are reasons to explain my methods on how people could understand something when reading.

What do you usually do when you want to “make sense” of something you have just read or understand it better? i try many things i try to find it in the dictionary. and then i look it in the web site. so that i have a even greater understanding of the book. i do a lot of work that helps me finish my books faster. and i also use my prior knowledge of analyzing my readings. that is what i do. i also use the librery to my advantage.

They're a couple of things that I can rely on when they're is something I don't get when it comes to reading. For example one thing i can always do is read it out loud to myself. Or I will write it out to see if they're ways to find out. The last thing i might do is to ask a family member so really nothing is hard to find out for me. But, nothing is really difficult I never really get stuck when I come across something. So it's not a problem.

when I read and there is something I don't understand something, in order to ''make sense of something'' I read the sentence 5 or more times until I understand it. And the odds are if it's something really hard I'll understand it when i use my method.

Okay then Divine I like the response

I will say it over and over or ask my teachers or family. For example i didn't know how to pronounce conscience so i went to my teacher and ask her how to pronounce this word.If the word is difficult and i am by myself i will forget about it, because it will make me mad.I am a reading type person,so i am very used to words.

I do many things when i don't understand a book. For example one thing i do when i don't understand a book i ask some one who does so i can get a better understanding.Another thing i do when i don't understand a book is read it over several times.I also mark the page and write down the things i don't understand about the book so i can get back to it and research it to give me a better understanding of what i am reading. When you understand what you are reading you can get a better picture of the book,if you get a better picture of the book you become a better reader, when you become a better reader you will have a good writing piece ABOUT THE book,if you have a good writing piece you become a better writer.Reading can lead to successes.

People have many ways of reading. So people maybe skip over the words that is hard to read.Others do something different. My way of reading is very different. If there a word that I don't understand than I will go to a notebook and write the word down.If I come across a sentence I don't get than I will read the sentence all over again. That is what I do when something don't make sense.

well if i don't understand like a paragraph of a book.then i would read that paragraph over.the most to read it over is about two or maybe three times.then if i still don't understand it then i might write it down.then come back to it later.most of the time it would help.

There are many times when i read and get confused. When that happens i just keep reading that same part over and over until i make my own meaning to it. I don't really like to read, I only get int reading when it is a really good book. This year one of my goals is to get more into reading.

If I want to make sense of some that I just read that I don't understand, I usually think of what it could mean or find other things that sound like it. Also I check to see what kind of context the book uses with it.

When something does not make sense, I'd try to put myself in the main characters, and attempt to understand their perspective. A poem I normally have a hard time understanding, so I read it over and try to understand the situation. If I can't understand and I have to write a paragraph I will and embellish much as I can.

There's different ways of understand a book or reading. When I don't understand the reading i either read it over. Or ask a friend to read it for me to clarify in a different way. So I would understand it better. If that don't work then I would on the internet and see if there is information that would help me understand what's going on in the story. That's what I would do to understand a reading better.

When you read, many things can be confusing. Sometimes when I don't understand something, I read it over till I understand it. If there is a word that is unfamiliar to me or I do not know the definition of a word, I look it up in the dictionary. I also ask some people what something means. I could also look for clues in the book for what something means. To make sure I understand something, I try to come up with an example of my own.

Well i would say that when i really want something to make a lot of sense to me, in my own opinion i make the word into a word that i understand. Like teenagers && there ghetto talk, we learn to put words in our own perspectives, && we do know what we are talking about, some people may not understand but we have our own talk.

well to me reading sometimes is a bit confusing .cause some times what i read don't even make sense.and on top of that i don't like to read i find it boring even though i could be reading a interesting book it still would be hard for me to not get districted..

Everybody understand things differently. Its like the 8 different intelligences. I think people use there intelligence's to understand things differently. The what I do to make sense of something is use it in a sentence and see how it goes with the sentence. Another way is that I will just read it once or twice and then keep on reading then later on in the text I would understand. I think I understand things really easy and I don't have to think about it a lot.

When reading a lot of people get distracted. When i am reading and don't understand something about the reading. Ill read it once our twice and see if i understand it the second time. The second time ill take the most important keywords about the reading and see if i understand it better.

In different types of books they all share one thing. The meaning of how having to connect with something in the book. For example,in books you can connect to a characters situation or the way they live or etc.In books I read, to understand it I put myself in the situation. For example,Say in a book a girl was having problems meeting friends in a new school. For me it is not hard to make friends so I would think of how it is for her and what I would do and etc.I believe that this is a good strategy in reading because{A}you can see how it is for that character.{B}you can understand the situation better and {C}you can probably predict the reason behind the author writing about that subject or genre. So in conclusion I think every and anybody can "make sense" of something they just read by just by putting yourself in there position.

When it comes to reading everybody has there own way of understanding. It's better to understand the story your reading. What I usually do to understand what I just read is.I try to have a image in my head of whats going on. If that doesn't work I just read the story over in till I understand. If it is still hard for me to understand, that means this is not the right book for me.

It is always helpful to make something more "understandable" if you don't understand it. What I do when I want something to make sense if I don't understand it is that I usually look up in the dictionary. I also sometimes just read over it. Reading can be so confusing sometimes. But if I really am in the mood for reading, i'll just keep reading the part until I understand it. That is how i make something more "understandable" if I get confused.

Reading can sometimes mess with your mind.Sometimes we read and do understand what we are reading, that's why we sometimes have to read over two to three times to get what we are reading.Yes!it has happened to me one or twice. You can always Talk "With Text"(T.W.T).The only way you get confused is,because you are distracted and thinking of something else, but when really concentrated you don't get confused at all. That's why you must always revise or re-read things.

I look at the word and if I don't understand it, I finish the sentence and basically gives me the meaning of the word. For example, "This man is very parsimonious because he killed a cat." You can tell that tis man is either mean, grumpy, stingy, ignorant, or something that isn't good. So if you pay attention to the sentence its in or the following sentence, it will be easy for you to understand what the word means.

Sometimes when I read I don't pay attention because I get distracted. I get distracted because I don't like to read. When I am reading a good book I don't get distracted. When I what to make sense of something that I am reading I keep reading it. Sometimes I might just keep reading. Sometimes when I am reading I kind of read like four pages and I get bored of it even with a good book.

What I do when I want to "make sense"is go back to what ever the question or the reading was and think about things that i would like to say.The other thing is when I'm looking at a reading to understand it better is by looking back at what ever I had read.I would also ask questions if i know i need help understanding something that I don't get. When I'm reading something and I'm done I don't remember what I read so I go back to the reading and figure out what i missed or didn't understand. That's my point of veiw

There are a lot of things i would usually do when reading to make sense for me.When i read and want an better understanding,i read over what i read to visualize it.This happens alot because sometimes when i read, it has to make sense so i reread it expecailly if the book is interesting.Me visualizing it helps me see whats really happening.
