"Write quickly and you will never write well. Write well, and you will soon write quickly." To me this quote is true. The reason is I had that experience before. Writing quickly to get something done, but at the same time I make a lot of mistakes. That's where I don't write well. As it is said in the quote. For that i have to learn to take my time in writing something. So when the time comes would be ready to write without rushing.

I have chosen this quote because i might know what It means,In my own words I think it means that u don't have to be sacred when a editor, edits your paper. Just be glad he might make your paper look better.

I chose write QUICKLY never write well, write well an you will soon write quickly.Because its something that gets your attention.the rest they d'ont take my attention like this one does.its very simple just what I like
I think the quote "write quickly and you will never write well. Write well, and you will soon write quickly."means to take your time. There is no reason to rush all the time. You should use your time wisely and write slow and neatly. If you rush it will not come out as well as it would of if you took your time. That is why the quote means take your time.
The quote I'm choosing is "Write quickly and you will never write well.Write well, and you will soon write quickly."The reason why I pick this quote is because I can relate to it.When I started out writing I used to write fast and sloppy. The reason why I used to write like this because I thought I would complete my work faster,(which it did)but nobody could understand my writing.Currently I write slow but neatly. The reason why I'm currently doing this is because people could understand my writing better. And the thing is that I'm starting to write even faster and my writing gets neater.
I picked number 2. I picked number 2 because it said "it is better to do a bad first draft then no first draft. I picked it because it is true. I would want to do a bad one first because it is just a first draft. If you do the first draft you will get points for doing it. so there for thats why i picked 2.

"It is better to write a bad first draft than to write no first draft at all"-Will Shetterly
I could understand what the quote mean. Writing a bad first draft would help. Because shows what need changes and what don't need changes. But, not writing no first draft don't show any thing. You can't learned what need help. Also you don't know what you are doing. Having an first draft shows that you try.
I have chosen the quote, "Write quickly and you will never write well. Write well, and you will soon write quickly."What I think this quote means is if you write quickly and fast, you will not write well. Your writing will be horrible. However, if you write well, you will eventually be efficient with writing and you will write quickly without making a mistake. You have to do something slowly first to be great at it. Then when you are experienced enough, then you will be able to write quickly without any mistakes.
"Its better to write a bad first draft than to write no first drat at all."
This is very similar to one of my favorite quotes. "Better late than never." What its trying to say is if u don't try you won't know how u would've done. If you try and its not good, at least you can say "I gave it a try". Always try to do something you don't think you are able to do. You never know what you are capable of. Actually, you'll be shocked.
I think if you write quickly you will all ways mess up. There are many reasons why i say this the first reason is because the quote by Marcus Fabius Quintilianus. This quote said that if you "write quickly and you will never write well. write well, and you will soon write quickly".I believe what he said was true because many people i grow up with wrote and not well. Now they writing is a mess.
The quote that I have chose is B "it is better to write a bad first draft than to wrote no first draft at all" The reason why chose this quote is because there are a lot of people that think that they can not write but if you try your best and write what you can you will accomplish. It does not matter if it is not a well done letter at least you have wrote something. You can always go back and edit what you have done so as the quote said "it is better to write a bad draft then to write no draft".
We humans have many quotes in our mind to share to all.I choose quote letter A.)"Write quickly and you will never write well.Write well, and you will soon write quickly(Marcus Fabius Quintilianus, 65 A.D.)".This defined a couple of ways.I define it like this you have to take your time to do something right. Also not to rush or put pressure on yourself or you will mess up.So remember take it easy or relax and be confterble.
In the 3rd quote...I think it means that is better to write a bad draft and put what you think or what you learn. Then not writing anything.Because your showing that you that u learn something even if u made mistakes or you do not know what your doing.
When you write quickly you will get mess up on your writing and then you get mad because you mess up but its alright if you mess up because you get to edit and make your writing better and stuff like that and then if you take your time and think you finish faster because you taking your time and you know what you writing about so i rather you take your time and put your writing neat and perfect for it could be ready to go so thats what i think this quote means.
I chose write QUICKLY never write well, write well an you will soon write quickly.Because its something that gets your attention.the rest they d'ont take my attention like this one does.its very simple just what I like
"It is better to write a bad first draft than not writing no first draft at all."
I think that this quote means that it is better to do something than not doing it at all. i chose this quote because it makes a lot of sense to me. If you get something done wrong than at least you did it. With this you will have something to work with. If you did not have this than you cant correct yourself. With a bad first draft you can learn from your mistakes. I really like this quote because i have done this before and if you don't have something to learn from then you wont learn from your mistakes. That is why i chose this quote.
The quote that i like is b) by:(Will Shetterly). To me the quote mean that its better doing something than nothing. In other words if u don't understand something then its better to show what you think it means. For example in the (MCAS) it would have a writing portion and you would have to answer a question and if you don't understand it then you write what you understand. Once there was a time where i had to write a essay and i didn't understand the question and i did my best and i answered the question that was given. I also think that the quote mean to try your best in everything you do. Thats what i think the quote means.
The quote,I picked is "Write quickly and you will never write well. Write well, and you will soon write quickly." (Marcus Fabius Quintilianus, 65 A.D.)".This quote stood out to me in many ways.Marcus Fabius Quintilianus said "Write quickly and you will never write well".I think hes saying that if you don't take your time write your writing won't come out how you want it to.Also,Marcus Fabius Quintilianus said "Write well, and you will soon write quickly".I think hes saying if u take your time your wirting
I chose quote D because I believe it means something. It sends a message. I believe it is telling people to be proud in what you accomplish. Don't let anybody put you down on anything you do in life. If your proud, that's all that counts. People shouldn't criticize others on what they are good or bad at. People should just worry about themselves. Putting others down isn't needed
b. "It is better to write a bad first draft than to write no first draft at all." (Will Shetterly)
This quote is some what simple but it means a lot. I really understand this quote and it is affective. From the quote, what I got from it was that is you don't write a first draft, then there is nothing really for you to learn from. First drafts are not drafts just to do. They are supposed to be there to get what you want to say down and there for it to be corrected and improved. That quote really tells a lot in the matter of 17 words.
Write quickly and you will never write well. Write well, and you will soon write quickly. I think its saying if you do something just do get it done like if you do it in a hurry then it will be wrong, or the writing will be terrible.Like the more time and effort you put into something the better it will be. But with writing I think it means the more you write the better you get at it, and it will become easier and quicker...
The quote that really stood out to me is "Don't be dismayed by the opinions of editors, or critics. They are only the traffic cops of the arts." ---Gene Fowler. I think it is saying that don't let people make choices for you or tell you what you can do. They are the people blocking your path of being what you want. If you do something that your proud of don't let people try to improve you or give you opinions. They will just try to steer you off course of what your doing. That is why i chose the quote.
There are many reasons why i pick choose a.I picked choose a. because when you write fast and don"t take your time. Then you always end up messing up and that"s not how you write in a good writing process way.I think that writing is fun when you get to to write whatever you want. I think that if you think before you write than you get your work done. Writing is something that i do everyday. I learn when i am writing in my journal or in a blog at school. Writing is one academic skill that you have to have in order to pass high school and do on.I like writing in my journal because i get to express myself in anyway.I like learning new skills in the academic of writing. Writing can get you anywhere in life if you take it serious. For many reasons why you should take your time when your writing.
In life you would have to talk about the things you picked about and why you did so. For example, the quote I have chosen is quote is d. by Gene Fowler. I have chosen this quote because it telling writers no matter what a editor or critic say don't be scared. Another reason is because to me it is also saying that don't be nervous just keep your head up. Plus to me I think it means to have faith in your work and keep the negative opinions out of your head. These are the reasons to explain my thoughts on the following topic.
"Don't be dismayed by the opinions of editors, or critics, They are only the traffic cops of the arts"
I chose quote D. From my perspective, I feel that the quote means that you should be proud of what you do. The people who critic can say what they want, but its your masterpiece and you should be proud of it. Never mind what others think because if your worrying about others, thats just making traffiic in your confidence.
"It is better to write a bad first draft than to write no first draft at all"
I choose quote number two because it came to my attention.I think that the quote is saying many things. One thing i think the quote is saying is that its good to accomplish something then nothing at all.Another thing the quote can be saying is that its better to write something than nothing. Also it can be saying that if you do something wrong its better then not doing nothing so you can learn from your mistakes. The quote is a quote that motivates people its saying dont be mad at what u got its better then having nothing.
i choose "a" because it is the quote that really stuck out to me. because "write quick & you will never write well.write well, and you will soon write quickly." i think that comment means that act quick learn badly but act wisely learn quickly. that it depends on your actions. the people that are good get througth things in a brizze. that is what i think.
"Write quickly and you will never write well.Write well, and you will soon write quickly". I pick this quote because it is true. I know because it happens to me all the time. When ever you try to get something done and you write fast then it never comes out well(the way you want it to be). Wen ever you take your time and do something you will get use to doing it and you began to speed up the process.
D.''Don't be dismayed by the opinions of editors, or critics. They are only traffic cops of the arts.''
-GENE FOWLER
To me, this statement revolves around everyone in life. To me its not about just writers ,its to everyone who wants to be somebody and want to go somewhere. They have to go through struggles, like critics and people who think they are better than you. But if you rise up to challenges, like GENE FOWLER said they will turn up to be only traffic cops of the arts.
-This statement should apply to everybody.
i think that is true .To write a bad first draft than to write no draft at all cause. If you write your draft you get points and credit for it if you don't write anything at all you will just Fail automatic.
The quote I pick is “A.” I pick “A” because to me it makes more sense. In my own words it means if you write to fast type work won’t come out too good. If you work slowly in time your will learn how to write fast and get the concept of doing your work in a well paste. Doing work slow is better than rushing it. That’s why I picked “A” cause I understand what it is trying to say.
i chose the quote "write quickly and u will never write well.write well and u will soon write quickly.i think it means when u take your time.then it will come out perfect.it does not only have to be writing it could be anything.but if u don't take your time then it won't come out good.
well i think that it means that when you start write fast you tend to mess up. but when you take your time you get your work done right. another is that people go and they just wright things down that makes sence to them but whenit comes down on the paper people. are looking ike whatb is this. so this means that wwhen you really look and write something down right and consitrate on whats really inyour mind you can your work together and then u might get your work done
The first quote means that if you write your homework fast just to get it done your teacher will know and won't take it.Sometimes I write fast on homework or classwork just to get it done and it turns out messes. If you are a well writer and you take your time then all or your work will be neat and organize and thats how you want all your work to look like.Be a well writer not a quick writer.
I picked the first which is A because i understand that quote the best. That quote i sometimes do when i"m very tired or lazy. When i don't feel like doing it i rush and i don't write it very well.I make a lot of mistake that i don't usually make.So i think this quote is tru
The quote"Don't be dismayed by the opinions of editors, or critics. They are only the traffic cops of the arts" mean many things. The word dismayed mean to cause someone to feel consternation and distress.so to me the quote me that if you are a witre than you will come a cross some people trying to k.o you out of your spot. You just to feel like there dirt on your shoulder just bresh it off.So this is a good quote to look up to if yo are a witre that what the quto means.
