One of the most important amendments that i learned was "Freedom of the Press". I think that this amendments is important because if you have a opinion about the government and you can't write it down in the paper because the government restricts you from writing something negative about the government. This is also important because if the government is doing something that you don't like and you want to speak against it you can't, so really you don't have the freedom to have your own perspective because they prevent you from doing it. One more thing that i liked was that even though you have "Freedom of the Press", you can't tell lies or write something that would ruin somebody else's reputation. It come with freedom but it has it's limits also.
Freedom of speech is like protected by the first amendment this right is important because what nation will be without ideas or a disagreements we wouldn't be a freedom nation i think thats the most important right.
One of the amendments that i learn when i was readying the artical was to protect people right and the things that i learn about was that citizen was feeling on sure that there right were not protected because like the congress or other people will take away there right and do bad things to people because they do not have nothing to protected them. The other thing is that the congress say they really did not change nothing in the constitution they only put a place in the constitution that was for the citizen and the right of the citizen that what i learn.
The most imporant amendments i think is the freedom of petition i pick that one because it said that because it states that "ANY CITIZEN OR GROUP OF CITIZENS HAS THE RIGHT TO ASK A GOVERNMENT REPReSENTIVE TO CHANGE A LAW, TO MAKE A NEW LAW AND YOU KNOW THE REST I like that a whole lot because our government and president and other people that are in high places they don't only get a say in what goes on in our nation we the citizens have a say as well
the most important amendment is freedom and rights and stuff like freedom of speach. Another is the right to trial by jury like when you go to court. Another is freedom of pass.
The 1st amendment is important to me because it talks about freedom of religion. Freedom of Religion is important because when you can express your religion to someone and some one listens too you it feels good that you did. I bet it feels good to other people to. If someone came from another country. Came to the United States of America and made a point to the people in charge. You will probably feel that you made a difference. That's why i feel freedom of Religion is important. It's the fact that your being heard.
The most important amendments in the reading to me is the 1st amendment. The 1st amendment is "Guarantees freedom of religion, of speech, and of the press; the right to assemble peacefully; and the right to petition the government. As reading stated the people get arrested for this sometimes, all the time!
ONE OF THE AMENDMENTS ARE TO BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN YOUR SELF.THE REASON WHY YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF BECAUSE PEOPLE WONT BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND YOU.
i LIKE FREEDOM OF RELIGION.I LIKE FREEDOM OF RELIGION BECAUSE EVERYBODY HAS A DIFFERENT RELIGION AND ITS GOOD TO GET TO KNOW ABOUT OTHER PEOPLES RELIGIONS SO YOUR DOING WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO AND LEARNING SOMETHING NEW AT THE SAMETIME.
I think that the 1st Amendment is the most important because they are your natural rights. Each and everyone of them are very important in many ways. Fro example freedom of speech you get to speak your mind and defend your perspective in whatever you believe in.
One of the most important amendments is the first amendment. It is important to me because everyone should have the right to do and believe what they want to believe without getting in to trouble.
One of the important amendments that i learned while i was reading is "freedom of speech"this is important because what kind of nation will our Nations without ideas or a disagreements from others. We will have a Freedom speech i think this would be a lot better.
The most important amendmant to me is the sixth amendment to have the right to i think be in a jury during criminal cases. I think this important because they arent just handing you only the choice of a judge ONE OPINION. With the right to a jury you have the perspectives of real life people who havent based the last 4 years on text books written by people who are probably centuries deceased. Its by real people with real similar problems who knows when a judge may legally find you guilty a citizen may defend you based on COMMON sense.
Freedom of speech is the most important in th amendments. Freedom of speech is when you have the right to talk and say what you want. If there was no freedom of speech then what will the reps. say to each other during a discussion? How will they share their perspectives on a situation? If they cant share their perspectives then nation would have no rules.
One of the most important amendments that i read about was freedom of speech. The reason is because to me it is a good thing because you can speak your mind and let your voice be heard. But i also think it is not so good because people get criticized because others choose to exploit them.
To me "Freedom To Practice" of religion is the most important one out of the amendments. I believe this because being forced to practice something that you don't believe in is just isn't right. You Should be able to believe what you want to believe in and eat what you want to eat. It is also important because what diversity would there be if we all practiced the same religion. There would be hardly any different clothes or styles of cooking if there was no "Freedom Of Religion" this i why i believe it it important
the most important amendment i learned in the reading was "Freedom of the press" Because people shuld have the right to put what they want in the paper. They should beable to give the public what they want to hear about. But their are limitations like they can't print lies about a person that will heart their reputation but if it's true go ahead. I also liked another amendment freedom of speech because it is true people should be able to say what eve they want when they want but this also has limitations because at certain times its wrong to say certain stuff like when your in school you can't use foul language, also if you are talking to lets say a police man or someone of the law you can't swear at them to harm them even not to harm them you shouldn't be swearing yea it is freedom of speech but there is certain things that are wrong and certain things that are right at times i can understand if you are with friends and you know you swear here and there thats ok but not around elders or people you have to respect.
the most important amendment is freedom of rights because people don't have to have their right token away and the government dosnt have to take you and run every thing you need a say in it and that were freedom of rights come in
That is true CHRIS, During a debate campaigning canidates have to prove themselves to the citizens and that may mean critizing or comparing yourself to those who hold the posotion you are fighting for. How are you supposed to show that you can change a problem with out saying what you feel. It woudlnt make sense.
One of the most important amendments that i learned is "Freedom of speech" because if we didn't have that amendment we wouldn't be able to speak our minds. But at the same time there is a limit when you speak your mind. some things need to be kept to your self or spoken between certain people at certain times.
one of the amendments that i learn is freedom of speech and i learned that as an American u have the right to speck freely and we also have the right to write freely to.
The most important one that I learned today was freedom of religion. I think that this was the most important amendment because long ago there was this sort of belief with the pilgrims. They thought that Wiccans were witches. They had these court trials called the Salem witch trials. After the trials, the 'witches' get burned on a stake. And then a couple of years later, the US banned black cats on Halloween because of the same reason. Yes don't laugh at me but I believe in witchcraft and other supernatural stuff. So I don't think the people are following the bill of rights.
Anyway, I also think that people aren't even paying attention to that amendment. I am Buddhist. The only Buddhist within this area. I feel very left and as if the people were trying to make me feel bad for my religion.
You people will never see that many Buddhist people. You are lucky to see one, me.
It doesn't matter what religion we are. We are all humans.
In the reading there was a fact that I found interesting. Before a new amendment is added to the constitution it must first be approved at the national level-usually by congress-and proposed or presented to the states of the United States. Then the states either ratify(approve of) it or reject it.
The most important amendments that i learned is the consitution. this is the most important 0ne because it helps pretty much with everything like government and citizen i also think it helps with the law cause in a way it tells how the government should be runed or handled that's very helpful so i think this admendment is important cause of all those reasons
one of the most important amendments that i learned in the reading was the first amendment which was guarantees freedom of religion, of speech, and of the press; the right to assemble peacefully; and the right to petition the government. This amendment is important because if gives us the right do our religion and no one can stop you from doing it that is if you actually know you can do your religion . this amendment is also very important because it protects us all ways.
well i would say that the most important amendment to me is.....freedom of speech. this right is basicaly protected by the first amendment its important because say if someone had an idea but they cant say it because its againsted the law. hey.... personaly i think thats one of the most important amendments
ONE OF THE IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS THAT REALLY CAUGHT MY ATTENTION WAS FREEDOM OF REILGION. THE REASON WJY I THINK THAT THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT IS ONLY FAIR THAT PEOPLE GET THE FREEDOM TO PRACTICE THERE OWN REILGION. THE REASON WHY THAT IS ONLY RIGHT IS BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY RULES THAT THE GOVERNMENT HAS SO IF PEOPLE HAVE THERE OWN RELIGON THEY WILL HAVE THERE OWN TYPE OF RULES TO GO BY TO HAVE SO TYPE OF FREEDOM.

Missy
I agree with you on that because it is really important

when i said exploit,i mean that the people get personal or information that they don't want to get out put into the press.
The most important amendments that i learned is the consitution. this is the most important 0ne because it helps pretty much with everything like government and citizen i also think it helps with the law cause in a way it tells how the government should be runed or handled that's very helpful so i think this admendment is important cause of all those reasons
