No he shouldn't because what he might think is right might not be right for the people. That's why he has to have a reasonable explanation that tells why he wants to change something in the constitution. Not everybody might think that we he is changing is good. So he needs to be thinking about the real reason why he wants to change it.
i really don't think so because usually the congress i believe make the decision to either change the constitution or not. if he was to change it..i would think he should make a meeting about it because you have to make the the changes are better then the regular constitution. if his believes are disagreeable then that would be a big problem for the US.
NO!!!! The president shouldn't change the constitution to what he thinks is right or wrong because the constitution has been around for a long time the way it was and every is find about the way it is know. So why should he change to what he want .
Yes he should but at the same time he shouldn't because what he may beleive is right may be wrong in other peoples eyes and if he is 2 change the constitution to that of which some people think it's wrong than he may lose the office come next election
ADDING TO MY OTHER ONE WELL YEA THEY SHOULD JUST ADD TO THE LIST BECAUSE THE RECENT PRESIDENT WROTE STUFF DOWN THERE AND THEY MUST LEAVE THAT ALONE TO SEE WHAT WAS IT LIKE A LONG TIME AGO I GUESS
No because if he is the president of THE UNITED STATES then that means that he needs to do whats right for his country and not only whats right for him.
No, he shouldn't because how about if some of the things he believes in the citizens don't agree with it. It'll be unfair for the people if he makes decisions without their concern. If he makes a decision and it affects the poeple then he shouldn't have all the power the citizens need to have a part in it.
No,no, no That is like mad dumb because if you are going to let the president run the country with his ideas there is no point of the constitution if the president is going to run everything. I find that very unfair why don't he run the country by himself because it's our thoughts that count. The citizen makeup a country and you cant change that.
no he shouldn't because not everybody might believe in what he does in or it might not be part of there religon and also he don't have the power to change the constitution like that because the senate has the last say in thing so if the president wants she can just request there be a chage and see if some thing gets done but he him self cant change the constitution
I think that the president shouldn't because that wouldn't be fare at all. I say this because not every one has the same perspective and as the citizens we and the congress should datermain this not only the congress; or the president.
No because the president didn't make the first constitution. He doesn't have the right to change it because of what he believes. HE could change it and it could effect everyone. For good or for bad. Changing it for one person could also be bad because people will get mad. The citizens will probably want to fight. They would say why didn't he consider our ideas to put into the constitution. They would feel like they don't count and the could all combine together and go against the president.
I believe that he should. I have a question wasn't the president the one that made up the constitution or was the one that came up that there people should have a constitution if so then i believe that he haves the right to change some of the rules. If the didn't change the rules ever since they came up with a constitution they i believe they should. It is a new year with different people different time zone and everything is new and more technical to come by.
I agree with you but at the same time i don't because because you're saying how what the president thinks is right might be wrong in the eyes of other people however, the president does run the country and some times i think they should have the power to change whta ever they want.
My point of view of this question is that the president I think do not have no right to change the constitution because how he is going to change some thing so important to the U.S.A and the other thing is that a lot of people believes on the constitution and they are going to be mad and asking question why he change this important document. My idea will be to make a knew rule but not change the constitution because he wanted to show the people what he believes is wrong and right that my point of view
I say no that the president should not be able to charge the Constitution because it has already be made. Also because if it he make into what he believe in it will be a Constitution that some may not like. Next we all might in up in war because I that all he believe in is war and doing whats right for him and not for us the Citizens. This is believe that he should not be able to charge the Constitution the way he want it be or what he believe in.
I think the president could not do that because it wouldn't be right to a lot of people. It took a long time i believe to get the constitution together, to come to agreement and make it fair enough for everyone to respect it and it was here for a long so the president don't have any right to do that because if he did that would just be like him only thinking about himself and the people that might agree with it.
I don't think that the president should be able to change what he believes because it won't be right to the other who believe different. The Constitution is suppose to fit everyone's believes not just the president own.
If he does take everybody's perspective on a topic and everybody doesn't agree then he should have majority rules over the question weather the losing people like it or not the decition has to be made reguardless
he has to do what is always done vote because you cant try and get everyone perspective there's always going to be disagreement but majority wins you dont like it try and figure something out
Well if it's everyone than how can you complain. If you are part of something and you did vote or something it's not his felt. Even if what you said, didn't completely come true than you can't get mad because you were in it. Than if you disagree i don't think that the person who says something shouldn't.
Nooooo,,I don't think that the president shouldn't change the constitution.Because that won't be fear to the people he might have different idea && then the people will think different from his ideas. So like what I'm saying is that he should leave it alone.because when you mess around with something then things can go bad.
THEN HE CAN TAKE MATTERS INTO HIS OWN HANDS AND OR HE CAN LOOK AT ALL THE TOPICS AND SOLUTIONS TO SEE WHICH ONES WOULD BETTER BENEFIT THE TOWNS PEOPLE AND HIM.
I think there should be a potition or a vote because if it's done by getting peoples perspective that I think would be fair enough but everyone in this country, I think should have a say in it and if more people disagree with it it should just be off the table but if there's half and half which might be a rare count then the UN should probably step in the decision to get peoples perspective from other countries.
No i do not think that the President should be able to change the constitution at anytime. The constitution was made for a good reason. The President is only in office to make sure that everything goes good. Also to try to make more money for the state.
Dana,Melissa It Doesnt really matter if the president runs the country or not we're the people who make up the nation we elected him to be our leader so if he is doing something that we don't like it's our repesentive's job to tell the president and the senate an maybe the president will find a solution that works for both people that agree with him or don't
He can always talk to the people to see what they come up with like Dana said majority rules or take it to the supreme court and they make the final decision.
If we all don't agree then he thinks about and see which one suites us the best. Like Dana said majority rules, not everybody would think this is fare but hey who ever said life was fare. It's like when your voting for president, you vote and the president that has the most votes win, that's the way they should do it with laws.
The would be totally wrong for the President of the United States to change the constitution for his own beliefs. First off when a new President of the United States gets elected, what are we suppose to do change the constitution every time to fit his or her belief? It wouldn't be fair for the constitution to be based on one person's opinion. I believe the constitution was made by people who stood for the community and had everyone's best interest in mind. Not thinking "well I'm going to write the constitution based on what I feel is right or wrong and not take other people of our country needs into consideration" To me that would be total disrespect in a way to not think of other's. I guess I was taught that the government was to put your nation's people common welfare before yours.
Isn't considering what the people think is just being a good president. I mean by doing that the people probably won't get that mad. The president is taking all their ideas. By doing this he's making people happy.
The way i think the president could solve this problem is that he could make a meeting with each representives and they will give them some idea to the president and they do not come on with something good he could get go talk th the congress and they could solve this problem.
No , I think the president should not be able to twist th rules just to suit his/her personal needs. I think that is very manipulative and it will not support your citizens or the people you are ruling over. It is basically just your decision based on your needs and feelings and NOT CARING for you citizens.
Ms.jackson asks Class, what if he does take everyone's perspective on a topic. We all may not agree, so what does the president do?
I think that then it might be a little bit more exceptable because the people might have some consent on what is going on. But then it might not be considered as him changing the constitution to suit HIS needs. He would be using the people's opinion's also.
My perspective is that the president shouldn't be able to change the constitution to suit what he believes is right or wrong because how if the citizens doesn't like the changes he has made.and also the president might use the constitution for bad things and the people might not like it and things will go wrong because the people and some of the people might not agree of what he might change the constitution too. maybe other people might go with it depends on what he change the constitution too. like if the paper had something about the power should have equal rights and if the president have......

i'm not sure i think he should vote off to see what the people want.or i ink have a discussion about the subjects.

well maybe he should divide the constitution to make it even. Or maybe he could make them vote to see what people think.
