When a government tries to help everyone in a country, we say it is serving the common welfare. The common welfare is what is good for everyone in the country, not just a few people.

1. I don't know how they decide but I'll take a guess. I think they decide either by votes and the voices of their people, or they just randomly pick(a wild guess).
A. No because they don't always know what is best for their citizens.
B.They sometimes don't know what is best for them and sometimes they make bad decisions which can cause problems to the city.
They probably have monthly inspections or just recieve a lot of complaints and feel that it is their responsibility to help out and fix the problem or make something better. The Government should put their ideas out there but should not be able to make it official until after a poll just like every other citizen.The government shouldnt have the right to send people off to war.
1.well the government maybe has a town hall meeting and the people take votes on what the people need.
2.i think that the people makes the ideas then the government aproves of it.
3.because the governments not living the lives that they are so its harder to let the government decide on what the people want.
I think the government decides what common welfare by making sure everyone benefits from the decision.
I think the government should make decisions for what is good for citizens.Because all they have is the citizens,and if things aren't good for them it wont be good for anyone.
I think some problems would be making sure that if its good for one set of people,would it be good for another set.
Anthony is partially right but some laws changes are made its just the citizens that are stubborn and are not willing to adjust.

I am not sure if an government should attempt to make decision about what is good for citizens i agree and disagree. I agree a little bit because at least they are attempting to help and i disagree because i guess they don't struggle as much as people who need it.

well what i think that will be good for an country if we decided to bring in more affordable homes for people who m are not that well payed as others.

1a. I think they should be able to make decisions on somethings but not all things on some particular things i think they should get the opinion of the citizens so it would be fare.
1b. I think a problem that the govt has about deciding whats good for citizens is they make some decisions that citizens do not like they even pick some stuff that might be better for them.
I think that they decide on a number of votes or they would pick random houses and hear what the people have to say.
A) They dont always know whats right because they are not asking the people its their opinions .
B)I think that it will resolve in some protest because they government is working off of there opinions and not the peoples .

I think they don't always know what's best is because they are not citizens themself. They are high class people which do not know the normal life. This is (not off topic) like Hannah Montana Tv series from Disney Channel. She has to experience both the life of the high class people and normal people.
Anyway, they are no mere mortals like us.

one problem is how citizen get to use deadly tools to protect themsleves and people take advatage of that because they end up using the tool for bad instead of protecton
I think the government decides what the common welfare is by looking at what everybody in its country needs since common welfare is what is good for everyone in the country not just a few people. I think the government shouldn't attempt to make decisions about what is good for its citizens because they first need to listen to what they need and then make the decisions for them.Some problems with a government deciding what is good with the citizens may be that they try to help but they just do what is best for them not the citizens.they might get what they already have but not what they really need.
I think that the government decides by getting the perspective of a small group of people. I think this beacuse to me welfare means basic needs a lot of people need supplies, money, homes a lot.
I may suggest that the government should ask around and see whats best for the citizens. I all so think that they should decide as long as they have a few opinoin's.
