Dissent around the World
1. Think about the issues going on in Burma, China. How do you think it is possible for a government to refuse, neglect or limit rights of their "citizens"? How can the dictatorship get away with this? Explain.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT THEIR GOVERMENT LIMITING THEIR ITIZENS RIGHTS IS THAT THE CITIZENS SHOULD HAVE ALOT OF RIGHTS BECAUSE THEY DONOT HAVE TO ELECT OR VOTE AND THEY DONOT HAVE REAL GOVERMENT......I REALLY DONT GET THE QUESTIONS CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT
I think it is possible for a government to neglect of limit rights for thier "citizens" because they have the power. Because they have the power they think they can do whatever they want and most of them usually do. I think they can get away with because not everybody is getting into it yet. When i was watching this video it the burmanians had to flee from there homes and hide in the woods. They was scared to even go to sleep because they don't know where the soldiers are hiding. I think it's wrong and sad that they have to live in constant fear. I can't say i know how they feel because i don't, but i can say that i have an idea what there going through. they can't live there live freely especially because they have a family to take care of. There going through alot and there's nothing other people can do to change that. I mean you could protest but that's another country so i don't think they would pay any mind. I hope we could've do something. They can also get away with it because they rule the country, but they should think about if they was in there shoes would they like people to go around and shoot members of there family?
I think that what their doing is wrong i seen a video how families with babies hiding under caves afraid to sleep, eat, or even turn on a fire. The government has no heart because he refused their rights. Those people are afraid of everything if they hide they die and if they protest they get beaten or killed. Their rights get limited and that is messed up. I don't know how there can exist such people like dictators that hurt people in so many ways. Whoever agrees with them are crazy and need to put themselves in their place instead of judging them and not giving them their rights. The funny thing is that they are "citizens" what if, if they were immigrants what would they do to them???
He can do this because he has power. To him like ms.jackson said were the bottom of th perimid. They have more power because there all the way in the top. The only thing the government don't know is that we are the government.To him he don't care if he wants something then supposely he has to get it. But to me thats not fare. He could limit there rights but thats not fare because don't we all have rights. The dictatorship can get away with all this because they have power and if someone tries to talk back thell proballey kill them.
i think it isn't fair because there protesting peacefully and that isn't right if the government want to fight for know reason thats just the government making it worst. they have the right to fight for what's right. but of coarse there rules are different and since they don't have a real government the person that runs that town, they could change the rules if they want to because they don't vote so they don't have a strong say.
I really don't think who gives them the power, but i think that Asia does.And if Asia gives them the power they should do something. THEY DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO THAT.

I think that the dictator are getting away with this becuase they have more power. The monk's are mad because they are not being heard. I feel that the only reason why the dictator's are doing this because they know that the monk's aren't fighting it enough. The monk's need to make their actions heard. Maybe by trying to talk. Or have a debate come to the goverment positive instead of doing negative things.
What 's happen in Burma is that fair to the people living there . For one thing it not fair that they don't get to chooes there government . I saw this video and there was a mother and her kids .There was in the jungle hiding from the Burma people . There couldn't even light a fire ,they didn't have any food to eat.
I think the government can get away what so many things because they don't really care about their citizens. Also because they are the government of that country they think they can do what ever they want and get away it because they are apart of the government.
the Chinese are able to do what they want because each country has there own rules. Also they have weapons so if someone tries to tell or boycott they will kill them. Or they can put them in jails for how ever long they want. they make of the rules not the people that live there.
I think that they limit their rights with treats and horrible behavior. In an video there was a part where there was labor on the road sides mainly children working. I don't know how the government get away with things like this. I don't know how they could live with it. Maybe no one has noticed this so that's how they get away with it.
I think that it is possible cause the government can neglect limit right of their citizens. It's like the government can do anything cause he/she is in charged.

Just because there govenor is based on the Military that means that maybe the citizens of that country might be scared to say something because the government has so many power. maybe they can get away with it because some of the citizens might not know here rights and because they don't know their rights that means they can't fight for what is right.
What I think about their Governer is that he is acting like a dictator and the other thing they really do not vote for a governer like we do. The other thing is that the govener do not have no rights to not listen to does people because if they do the governer is going to acted and take does people to jail. But what I think that the governer acted in the back of other people so that people would no know about and that thing is very bad and what I think about that governer is that he is not doing good with that country.

Because they have the power they think they can do whatever they want and most of them usually do. I think they can get away with because not everybody is getting into it yet. Just because there govenor is based on the Military that means that maybe the citizens of that country might be scared to say something because the government has so many power. maybe they can get away with it because some of the citizens might not know here rights and because they don't know their rights that means they can't fight for what is right.
