no i do not because they were forcing the people of the japanese desent to these camps because hey were afraid that they was going to help the japan army plan an attack there was no justice and the U.S government was not right to take there japanese CITIZENS from there homes and put them in there camps.
No, because they really don't have the rights to move people out of thier homes just because they think there involved with something. It's wrong because think of the million family's who don't know nothing about these terroist attacks lose there homes. If there limiting the rights of certain people there actually playing favorites. It makes no sense to accuse somebody for something that you are not sure of. That's making them suffer for no reason. And it was good that Toyosaburo Korematsu stood up and say that he would not move, because he knew that he had nothing to do with these attacks and he wasn't involved with it anyway. All in all i don't think that should be able to do this. It's not rigt.
I don't think it was right to take people form their homes. I understand that they took them because they were in fear of the Japenese taking sides. If they were citizens then no matter what it is up to them to leave or not. That is basically a racial case because they only take Japenese citizens and put them in a holding area which is not right. With this "why didn't they take American citizens to protect them from getting hurt". I can't believe the court and the supreme court at that would have it noted that national emergencies, such as war, may sometimes justify limiting the civil rights of a single racial group. That shows something and not a good thing.
I agree with you Dana because they have no rights to be forcing innocent people out of there homes and but them in these camps just because there assuming something. What if everybody was found guilty because of what someone asummes they did, then you could put everybody you want in these camps.
I kinda think they were right because they were just worried that the japanese would attack the west coast. It's not like they were just watching out for themselves. The goverment was looking out for the entire west coast. That also Washington could we really afford that. To lose everything on one attack that we could stop from happening. How would the people feel knowing they could've stop this from happening but didn't. If anyone disagree's with me then that's saying that you don't care about this country and you are ungrateful for not agreeing with the descion of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
I Disagree Because ,it isn't right forcing people to go to those camps they had.Im guessing since, they was afriad we might be attacked by the japanese. They also don't know if they are planning to or not. They were citizen of the united stated, thats why i think its wrong what they did.
Dana, i agree highly with you statement. Because you right there was no justice behind it. I like the way you capitalized CITIZENS because it shows something and it proves that it wasn't right.
I think the u.s have no right in acting the way they did.I mean like all citizens should have equal rights no matter what raise you are.Yeah I understand that the u.s may have been worried but they didn't have to get carried a way with it. Really if they became u.s citizen after living in the u.s for a while why they gonna turn there backs on the people that gave them a hand. That's why they came to the u.s. But then when there's a problem with another country thats there raise that have to pushed a side. No they have every right to be like any other citizen, no matter who they are and where they come from. The u.s had no right and what the u.s did was messed up that's my opinion.
NO!! I don't because it was unfair what they were doing to those poor people only because they were afraid they would help japan to attack the west coast. Also it's not right what they did to him he refused to go to the camps so they arrested him. Maybe he was afraid of dying or etc. It's also not justified to refuse a "citizens civil rights". He was American so he had certain rights and one of them should have been to speak out and say the reasons why he refused to go. It was messed up what they were doing.
I do not think that the Government was right because if you are a U.S. citizen then you need to be treated with respect. And you also need to be treated with your rights. Because everybody has their own rights. And you also need to have some dignity and some courage and stand up for your rights.Because thats not right you being blamed or being tried for something that you don't do I think that ,that is unfair and rude because what if you where in the other persons shoes. And you are or you went through the same situation how did you feel and how would you feel???? 8f Do it Betta!!!!!
Ms. Jackson, I think that the U.S government was able to do this because back in those time nobody but the U.S government and white people had rights and they toke advantage of the privilage and toke all of the japanese CITIZENS and put them in camps
NO!!!The U.S government was not right to do that because they are U.S citizen. So they should be treated like everyone that is a citizen. The government shouldn't think because they are Japanese that they like what going on and that they agree with it. That like what happen when the twin tower went down.
I don't think that it was right for the Government to take away certain rights form the Japanese citizens, just because there are not American citizen(not naturally from here)that doesn't mean they can get treated differently when they come here and the government see that there not citizen from here but there citizens. I think that all citizens should get treated equal, its not fair that a native born american citizen, who refused to leave his home and go to the camp got arrested and charged with failure to report for relocation, first of all there shouldn't be any world war 1's or 2's going on ie the president knew how to control what needed to be control then that man would haven't had to go through what he went through.
No, I don't think the government had the right to limit people's rights. I disagree because everyone should have an equal for everyone no matter what. You can't always force people out of there homes to put them in camps because you wanted to it's not right. And just cause of an army plan i dont think that's right.
I believe that the government was wrong in this case. It is wrong just because if the attackers are Japanese does not mean the whole race is to blame. Just like what is happening now every time you see a person from Iraq or other middle eastern area people assume that they are here to blow something up or plan an attack on America. And to me that is straight terrorism and that is not what America stands for. America is suppose to be this big old wonderful happy perfect country when really we have not stood up by that. To me America and it's government does have its different imperfections but we have to work together and stand up and stop this before we all divide ourselves and become way out of with the problem.
NO BUT THEY WILL HAVE TO BECAUSE THEY HAVE NATIONAL TROUBLES AND THEY HAVE TO TAKE THEM OUT OF THERE HOUSES SO THEY CAN GOTO WAR FOR U.S.A......I THINK THATS WHAT WE TALKING ABOUT IS IT
The government do not have no right on those Japanese citizen because he could not tell them what to do.Does Japanese citizen they were born her so the thing I do not understand is that if they are having a World with the Japanese in there country so the government is going to come up with the Japanese that live in the United State and tell them you need to go to these camp because we think you are helping the Japanese with the world. So if they thing does Japanese was helping there country were is the Evidence that say that. The other thing is if a person do not want to go they should not arrested that person because he have right and they should not do that.
The United States government was limiting rights to the Japanese. they only did it to the Japanese if they are going to do that it should have been to everyone. Yes i do think the United States was only was just doing it to the Japanese because back then they did not have as many right as they do now. It is not fair that they would do that to people just because they think that the Japanese were going to help them lose the war.
No, because the U.S have no right of moving the Japanese. Some the them don't even know what is going on with the war . And in that time of need they need to stay close to there family to make shore nothing would happen. I think if they that some they need to take all. Its not right who they just violate there rights. Like they are nothing what i the people of Japan took there right away from the and move them to a place they don't know about. They would fell lost scared a worried at least i would. They should of thought about the people first in a way.
No I don't think that is right because these Japanese People did nothing to nobody and the United States want to take them out of there home and some of them were Japanese American citizens and then put them in camps cause they felt that was right.
I agree with Melissa because it was wrong to take people from there homes and yea, a lot of families suffer from what the government has done for there good.
I don't agree with this is because that they cant force people out of there homes because there in fear. They were in more fear in laving their homes just so they can be in a camp with a lot of other people. Also i think tat it is not fair that they are limiting certain rights for them. They are people just like us.Also if they do that it is not fair for them
Dana, I agree with what you had to say because if they(the immigrations and government and etc) if they felt for any reason that the Japanese where a threat then why did they allow them into the country in the first place if they just was gonna put them into camps
No i dont think its right what the government did to the japanese because that was very messed up how he ust put people out of there own homes by forcing them to leave.what kind of goverment is he????? i know if the government wasnt no grovernment && he was a japanese he would feel the same way how those people feel. very hurt && sad that they have to leave there homes.
That's true they are the same but, let's just say if someone were a threat at school and you think they had a gun. Wouldn't you try to kick them out of the school. The same thing we are all the same. Though it was a good chance that someone might tryed to side with there ancestry.
I DISAGREE WITH YOU!!! because all he did was say no and the government had no right of doing he was a U.S. citizen he has civil rights. He had his rights and maybe he didn't want to die thats why he refused to go. Would you like if they that to cause you were Japanese or something else?huh????
I agree with what Melissa said because that is so true it isn't right for the Government to be forced out of their homes that is unexceptable and rude especially when I pay my taxes and do what I am supposed to do. I refuse to be disrespected and forced out of my own home. 8F DO IT BETTA!!!!!!!!!

Tremain,
I think that people have there own perspective on things and just because they disagree with something doesn't make them the bad person.
NO!!!The U.S government was not right to do that because they are U.S citizen. So they should be treated like everyone that is a citizen. Aren't American Citizens the same despite their race or ethnicity?

I think that the America government had no right to send them to the camp. That's just messed up.They don't know if what they said was true.
